We are very pleased to announce that we have added four new attorneys to our staff. Don Sowers a seasoned medical malpractice and general liability trial lawyer has joined us as senior trial counsel. Don has tried many cases to verdict and knows his way around the courtroom. Tracy McGonigle, of counsel has returned to the firm after many years working in the general practice, animal rights and non profit arenas. She offices in Woodstock, and we are very excited to have her back.
Finally, we have added two associates, Joshua Worell and Milena Craver. Joshua has been litigating for ten years and has had several trials. He is working in litigation, with an emphasis in medical malpractice and construction. Milena has worked in the bankruptcy arena for several years, but is making a complete change and joining our asbestos practice. We are very pleased to have all these new attorneys in the firm.
As the pandemic eases our isolation, we have seen personnel changes in the firm. We have three valuable members of our firm retiring or winding down. Tom Lucas, our coverage expert, is not taking any new files, and he will be missed. We wish him well in his new retired life. Fortunately, our partner, Kristin Tauras, who has worked on coverage files with him for a long while, has stepped up and taken over the coverage practice. She is happy to consult on coverage matters and brings a lot of insight to the practice.
Dawn Ehrenberg, who has worked side by side with Julie Ramson litigating medical malpractice cases, will be retiring at the end of the year. Dawn has been an invaluable player in achieving all those trial wins as well as handling other significant pieces of litigation over the past thirty five years. We hope that Dawn finds well deserved pleasure in the retired life. Don Sowers, Alex Sweis and Joshua Worell will be working on medical malpractice cases with Julie and be available for continuing assignments in the medical malpractice and professional liability arena.
Pam Woods, a staff assistant, is an institution at McKenna Storer. She is retiring at the end of the year. We wish her all the best in her new endeavors. Also, Laurel Palma, who has been working with the firm for over 30 years as well, is in partial retirement. That means she does not come in every day, but she still takes our calls when she is not in!
