Mckenna Storer is pleased to announce it has entered into an of-counsel relationship with David A. Shapiro who will be managing complex commercial litigation matters as part of the firm’s litigation practice. He is an accomplished litigator and skilled negotiator with a stellar reputation for successfully solving the complex legal and business issues confronting his clients.
Mr. Shapiro brings to the firm his years of commercial litigation experience in state and federal courts representing plaintiffs and defendants in trials and appeals. He possesses an enviable range of legal knowledge and experience litigating matters in a number of areas of the law, including banking, corporate, real estate, construction, employment, consumer defense and contracts.
A 1980 graduate of DePaul University College of Law with a Juris Doctor, Mr. Shapiro is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Tax Court and in the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is a founding member and secretary of Partners In Community Building, Inc., a community-based not-for-profit organization working to provide safe and affordable housing in and around Chicago.
Among the many clients represented by Mr. Shapiro in the course of his almost 40-year career as an attorney include construction companies, real estate developers, real estate brokers, commercial landlords, automobile dealerships, condominium associations, as well as banks and other lending institutions.
